Synopsis
Rubber Foot Buffalo breaks the mould of travel adventure as two best friends set out into the Wild West and beyond to find out what the rest of the world has missed. Practical Policeman and outdoors expert Terrance Prochaska brings the muscle and good looks to the adventure, as he tries to prevent his best friend, grizzly multi millionaire Mark G Holt, from running them into even deeper trouble than usual along the way. The two met after Mark was burgled and Terrance was the investigating officer, and have remained friends ever since.
Once a year, they take their wild, car-wrecking off road adventures in customised Jeeps – which often seem to have a life of their own. They meet history and culture as the boys overcome treacherous territory only to find themselves in the hands of crazy locals, ghostly stories, intriguing historical mysteries and space-bound stunt men. The latter example was about to launch himself into space on a home-built rocket when they drove past, so that deserved a visit.
Possibly for that reason, the unofficial slogan of the series is ‘You just can’t make this stuff up’ as the team stumble from the spaceman on to gun-slinging miners, collapsing mines, ghost hotels, stranded snow ploughs and 1800’s murder scenes high in the desert mountains – things they never expected, hadn’t planned for, and experience for the first time in front of the cameras.
The series brings plenty of laughs alongside stunning vistas, rip roaring action, a touch of peril and some wicked one liners. Captured in 4K by a crew who are as much a part of the action as the Buffalos themselves the show has something for everyone, as the lads try to pack in as many ‘bucket list’ moments as possible during their annual two week adventure.
